Froggy Bakes a Cake

Title: Froggy Bakes a Cake

Author: Jonathan London

Illustrator:  Frank Remkiewicz

Summary:

What will happen when independent Froggy wants to bake his mom a cake for her birthday?  Froggy’s dad tries to help him by listing the ingredients, but Froggy says he wants to bake the cake all by himself, so dad steps away and lets Froggy rule the kitchen.  Froggy dumps a large bag of flour, a whole box of sugar, and ten handfuls of chocolate candy into the batter.  After spilling some milk on the floor, breaking four or five eggs, and dropping a stick of butter, he adds all of these ingredients along with an entire box of baking powder.  Dad and Froggy blow up balloons and set the table while waiting for the cake to bake.  Soon, mom smells something baking and the whole family goes to the kitchen, sliding across the buttery floor to open the oven door.  How does Froggy’s cake turn out?  Of course, you’ll want to share this book with someone special and find out!
