A Greyhound, A Groundhog

A Greyhound A Groundhog

Title:  A Greyhound, A Groundhog

Author:  Emily Jenkins

Illustrator:  Chris Appelhans

Summary:
Jenkins plays with language and sound in this beautifully illustrated adventure about a greyhound and a groundhog. The “grey little round hound” and the “found little roundhog” chase each other “around and around and around and around,” resulting in a soft, pretty swirl of watercolors on the page. This fast paced, energetic story is a perfect read aloud that shows how some sounds repeat themselves in different words.
